About Our Shop in Fort Wayne, IN

A Legacy of Honest Service and Quality Repairs Since 2008

How Grote Automotive Grew from a Dealership into a Full-Service Repair Shop

Grote Automotive has been a fixture in Fort Wayne, Indiana since 2008, when the business first opened its doors as a car dealership. Recognizing an opportunity to serve both inventory needs and customer vehicles better, the team launched an in-house service department a few years after opening. What began as a practical solution for reconditioning dealership inventory quickly evolved into something much larger. Year after year, Grote Automotive invested in advanced equipment, the latest diagnostic technology, and ongoing training for its technicians, steadily building the kind of full-service repair facility that Fort Wayne drivers could genuinely rely on. That growth was never accidental; it was the direct result of a commitment to doing things right and earning customer trust one repair at a time.

The Team Behind Every Repair

The technicians at Grote Automotive bring real expertise to every vehicle that comes through the shop, whether it’s a routine oil change or a complex diagnostic challenge. The team works with all makes and models, from everyday commuter cars to family SUVs and high-mileage trucks, applying the same standard of care regardless of the job. Computerized diagnostic equipment allows technicians to accurately identify issues before recommending any repairs, which means you’re never paying for guesswork. Every recommendation comes with a clear explanation, because the shop believes that an informed customer is a confident customer. That transparency isn’t just good business practice; it’s the foundation of every long-term relationship Grote Automotive has built over the years.
